This policy explains how TUTUME Worldwide Limited (“TUTUME”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on www.tutume.co.tz. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site owner. Similar technologies such as local storage store small amounts of data in your browser in the same way.
2. Our approach
We do not use advertising, profiling or third-party tracking cookies on this website. We do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or social media trackers. The only cookies we set are those strictly necessary for the website to function securely.
3. Cookies we use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
TUTUMESESS |
Strictly necessary | Maintains your browsing session. It allows us to protect our contact form and AI assistant against automated abuse and cross-site request forgery (CSRF). It contains a random identifier only — no personal information. | Until you close your browser |
tutume_cookie_notice_v1 |
Strictly necessary (local storage) | Remembers that you have seen and dismissed our cookie notice, so it is not shown to you on every page. | Until you clear your browser data |
Because all of the above are strictly necessary for the website to operate, they do not require your consent under applicable data protection law. We still tell you about them for transparency.
4. Third-party services
Two third-party services are loaded by this website:
- Google Fonts — we load our typefaces from Google's font servers. Google does not set cookies for font requests, but your IP address is visible to Google when the fonts are downloaded. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- AI Assistant — if you choose to open and use the chat assistant, the messages you type are sent to our AI provider to generate a reply. No cookies are set by that provider. Please do not enter sensitive personal information into the chat.
Clicking our WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta and governed by its own privacy terms.
5. Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block cookies entirely or delete those already stored. Instructions are available for Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
Please note that blocking the session cookie will prevent our contact form and AI assistant from working, as they rely on it for security.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
