TUTUME Worldwide Limited (“TUTUME”, “we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through www.tutume.co.tz, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
TUTUME Worldwide Limited is a technology-enabled last-mile infrastructure company headquartered in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, with operations in Zambia. For the purposes of data protection law we are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.
2. What we collect
We only collect data you actively give us, plus limited technical information:

We do not use advertising or analytics trackers, we do not build marketing profiles, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone. Ever.
3. Our lawful basis
- Your consent — when you voluntarily submit an enquiry or use the chat assistant.
- Legitimate interests — keeping our website secure, preventing fraud and abuse, and responding to business enquiries.
- Legal obligation — where we must retain records to comply with applicable law.
4. How long we keep it
- Contact enquiries — retained for up to 24 months after our last correspondence with you, then deleted.
- Anti-abuse records (IP address and user-agent) — retained for up to 12 months.
- Server logs — typically retained for up to 90 days by our hosting provider.
You may ask us to delete your enquiry sooner at any time — see section 7.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the website:
- Our hosting provider, which stores the website and its database.
- Our email provider, which delivers enquiry notifications to our team.
- Our AI provider, which processes chat assistant messages to generate replies. Messages sent to this service may be transmitted outside Tanzania.
- Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces used on this site and can see your IP address in the process.
We may also disclose data where we are legally required to do so, or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not sell personal data.
6. International transfers
Some of our service providers operate outside Tanzania and Zambia. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected by appropriate safeguards and contractual commitments.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you, and receive a copy of it.
- Ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete your data where we no longer need it.
- Object to, or ask us to restrict, our processing of your data.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where our processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority — the Personal Data Protection Commission in Tanzania, or the Data Protection Commissioner in Zambia.

8. Security
We protect your information using HTTPS encryption in transit, hashed administrator credentials, access controls restricting who can view enquiries, and protections against automated abuse of our forms. No system is perfectly secure, but we take these obligations seriously and review our measures regularly.
9. Children
This website is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
